Karl Rove-Guilty or.... Guilty?

Sorry about the long hiatus... The veteran has been a very busy little boy lately, what with my summer job and still taking a couple of classes. Let's talk about the Rove controversy. As many probably know, Karl Rove is currently under scrutiny (if not outright investigation) for the possibly outing of CIA operative Valerie Plame. For those who don't understand the lingo, the evidence points to him having blown her cover. This is a rather severe federal offense at least, and a possible threat to national security at worst. For right now, Rove has been keeping things under wraps, and neither he, nor his lawyers, nor the White House have much to say about the incident, other than 'he didn't do it'. Well, the veteran thinks that he did, and apparently, so does most of the democratic party. Step up, Karl Rove, and admit your guilt. Name some names. Be a man, you wretched tool. Sincerely, The Moderate Virginia Veteran.

Two questions related to Valerie Plame and the CIA. Why are there so many middle aged white Americans working as covert operatives in foreign countries? Should we (editorial we) not be hiring natives or at least first generation immigrants? Second, are not all diplomats considered spies? And by extension are not all diplomats’ wives considered spies? It has been my experience that women generally tell their partners everything they know and most which they suspect. Any foreign service worth spying on will intuit Plame’s functions wither or not the CIA pays her. Ergo, Rove’s indiscretion has little impact on national security except to possibly expose the happy couple as double dippers.

I'm still trying to decide whether your comment was supposed to be a legitimate argument or just funny... But, hey, maybe Rove is secretly a super-spy for the Skull 'n' Bones WMD Committee... Who knows?

Nice ’ garbage by the way. Microsoft Word is not a text editor. Try TextPad (Windows only AFAIK) or ViM (multi-platform).
